I don't understand, this is the point of remote snow day...plus it's Friday after a horribly stressful week for teachers, students, parents and admin. Give us the tiniest bit of a break knowing we can stay safe and warm instead of putting ourselves at risk in another way.

Most of my work as a math teacher isn’t even math. It’s helping students believe that they can also do math. We don’t talk about that enough.

Honest question: how many teachers or students have to get sick or die before we give teachers a say in whether or not schools should be open in the Fall?

Don’t get me wrong, I like teaching, I do, but I like living a whole lot more. I am not convinced about a return to “normal” in the Fall. 😷

.@NYCMayor it's time to step up and do the responsible thing: CLOSE NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS. It's not fair to continue the spread of Covid-19 to students, staff, and families. YOU have the power to slow the spread and flatten the curve. Don't wait any longer.

Been using Boomerang boomeranggmail.com to schedule messages in Gmail or make emails go away until I'm ready. Highly recommended.
Having a terrible start with @IOClassroom this year. 😔 Can't make any assignments because I keep getting this error. Admin can't help and tech support is "currently experiencing an increase in volume due to the back to school season" 🤨. Anyone have pointers? #mtbos #alg1
