Giving a @LinkItAnalytics test today and did not pay attention to the code students need to input. Maybe this combination of letters and numbers should be avoided in the future 😬
So many good points! No more geometry “sandwich”, limit topics in geo/alg ii to make room for more meaningful math courses, stop tracking students, etc. usatoday.com/story/news/edu…

It’s easy to forget how much students’ lives outside of school impact their performance in school.
Families tend to run out of food stamps before the end of the month, and as a result, the math test scores of children on food stamps tend to be higher when their family has just received benefits, and tend to drop when they're late in the benefit cycle papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…
Amazing how engaged and competitive students get with a little review jeopardy! Thank you @ericcurts for the free jeopardy template I found online

Each day, multiple students come to my room after school to “play” school. They take turns being the teacher/a student, they review content we learned, & ensure all students are focused. This has started to become a fun way to plan future lessons by watching strategies they use
I wish all schools, districts, and states would have this type of compassion for their students. Schools should support students, not bully them if their lunch balance is not paid by their parent/guardian. www-m.cnn.com/2019/10/13/us/…
