An individual with income at 150% of the poverty level makes about $23,000 per year. Whatever association health plans and health savings accounts might do, they're not going to make a health insurance plan affordable for someone like that.

SCALISE takes hard line against extending ACA subsidies. Calls Obamacare a “sink hole”. Says answer is association health plans and HSA accounts

Republicans should watch this.

Republican C-SPAN caller to Mike Johnson: " I have two medically fragile children ... If we see a lapse in pay come the 15th, my children do not get the medication that's needed for them to live their life because we live paycheck to paycheck."

No, removing the enhanced subsidies will not "save patients money in the long run." For most, the enhancements explicitly mean you owe a lower % of your income toward the premium. A lower % of income is always < than a higher %.

That screenshot undersells it. An individual making $28k would see their annual premium rise from $180 to $905. And the subsidies bring more healthy people into the risk pool and lower unsubsidized premiums too.

Democrat Senators (or staffers) keep posting screenshots like this hoping you’re as dumb as they are. If you look closely you’ll see the tax credit only shifts $46 - the larger jump in premiums has nothing to do with Republicans, it’s because Obamacare is trash.

Something I never thought I would say: @RepMTG is right. The GOP is making a huge mistake by shutting down the government just to hike Americans' health insurance premiums. Unless Trump & the Republicans back down her kids - & millions of others - are looking at HUGE increases.

Everyone needs to see this: If Republicans succeed in letting ACA subsidies expire a couple making 85k/year will see their health care premiums skyrocket to $25,000. Almost 30% of their income!! This will devastate middle-class Americans.

Warnock on Greene saying subsidies need to be extended: “You are going to hear me utter words, I never thought I'd say: Marjorie Taylor Greene is right.”

She's right... Republicans are nuts to embrace insurance premium hikes.

👀 MTG breaks with Republicans on Obamacare funding, saying she’s not a fan of the law but demands action to prevent a premium hike. “I’m absolutely disgusted that health insurance premiums will DOUBLE if the tax credits expire this year.” She says GOP leaders don’t have a plan.

Mr. Trump said "We could have much better healthcare than we have right now." No kidding. 20+ million will see their premiums double. 15 million thrown off healthcare entirely. Pres. Trump, in case you didn’t know, this is what the shutdown is about. End your healthcare cuts.

NOBODY can afford these premiums. Republicans aren't trying to stop illegals from getting healthcare. THEY'RE TRYING TO ROB CITIZENS OF THEIR ACCESS TO IT! CALL SOH Mike Johnson & demand he open the house. Check out Matt Lesser's video! #TikTok tiktok.com/t/ZTMkuGY3Y/

Ready to pay higher prices? Donald Trump and the Republicans are actively working to brake health insurance for 20 million Americans starting January 1.

Facts are stubborn things

CNN breaking it down: if Republicans let ACA subsidies expire, your health care premiums will skyrocket. One example—$7,225 a year now (8.5% of income) would jump to $25,000 (nearly 30%). That’s the reality for millions, especially in CA, TX, FL, GA, and NC.
