Honestly, this is a HUGE reason why I want students to understand exponential functions. We need to not only understand this type of growth but connect it to ways to slow it down, integrating with science and history. I hope that all curriculum makes learning relevant!

My 6th graders loved @ddmeyer's Sugar Packet task. We decided to take it into day 2 and found how many sugar packets were in our favorite drinks. The verdict-- too many!
We were all smiles doing a little dancing on the last day before holiday break!
