AFS Engine 01 was first on scene to a vegetation fire today, in the area of Hwy 49 and Smith Rd near Grass Valley. With the help of a few bystanders, our engine crew was able to contain the fire to a 50x50 spot before local fire department resources arrived.
AFS Engine 01 is currently assigned to the #MosquitoFire in #Foresthill, providing structure protection. Video taken from Church St, looking S to the canyon. Fire estimated to reach Church St structures in next 30 minutes. Multiple strike teams staged. #wildfire #cawildfires
