#ELMagChat What if “grading” shifted from Letter Grades or Percentages to profiles of performance based on developmental/proficiency continua, that are independent of Grade Levels and Age? Think of colored belts in karate and the Red Cross scale for swimming.
If your school is closed, follow Justin. He's 100% plugged into distance learning models that ... (1) are realistic rather than aspiration. (2) tune in to your students' emotional needs as well as academic.
Here's a good lesson plan example: "Diary two pages/day about what you are seeing/feeling/reacting to, and I'll respond. Read every day. Call me if you need me; I'll check in with you, too." If your #COVID19 syllabus fits in a 1/2 a tweet, you are probably doing it right.
