For grade 5 science, we explored the question: Does the type of soda change how high the mentos geyser will go? We practiced making hypothesis and sketchnoting our observations! Fun fact: Diet Coke went higher than Ms. Greig! 😱
Today we reviewed our Student Code of Conduct and made goals to help us improve in some areas for the last month of school! We picked our own strategies and we’re very honest with ourselves! ❤️

Today we are learning how to use protractors in our fraction search!
We are on an acute angle search today! Students found out that THEY could become an angle! We are also estimating angles today, then checking our estimations with protractors tomorrow!

During our Earth Day celebrations, our class did an excellent job of cleaning up our land and taking some time to do sit spots in an area of our field!
A reminder that tomorrow it our Stuffy Day! Students can bring a stuffed animal to school if they would like. We will also be participating in our earth day activities!

In Social, we are creating postcards to share our knowledge of different Francophone roots in Albertan towns/cities! We explored the history behind the names of the places and researched important landmarks and why they are important.
Field trip forms for our Telus Spark dates have been sent home! Please check your child’s backpack and return the forms to school by Friday April 14th.
