We are new to this community, pro dx’d with traumagenic DID in 2016. Each alter’s opinions are their own!! We cannot stress that enough. In general, however, we welcome everyone here! ❤️ We’ll introduce our system of alters here (a thread):
Absolutely beautiful post on an important day! I was diagnosed with DID only a couple years ago but I relate to this image 💯. So grateful for my headmates and the other multiples out there who have helped us get thru. My System’s page is @PolyphonySystem 🎵
Small systems are not less plural than big systems, and anyone who thinks that can go sit on a cactus!
YES, we love it when someone is actually interested (and respectful)!
We chose Polyphony system because music has been such a huge coping mechanism for many of us headmates. It’s a musical term for several harmonies coming together, and Trent had the idea.
when you’re one of the alters with a different accent from the body so you just decide not to speak,,, yeah
IF I SAY GOODNIGHT AND AN HOUR LATER YOU SEE ME ONLINE IT'S NOT THAT I LIED, IT'S JUST THAT I FAILED
i'm starting to believe over-explaining is a trauma response to feeling misunderstood and/or experiencing emotional neglect.
We rely heavily on our sense of humor too!
Our sense of humor is our secret weapon in recovery. As it turns out, we can laugh at ourselves and roll our eyes at our situation while STILL doing what we need to do to get better. Who knew?
Has anyone else lost friends and/or family members after revealing they’re multiple/plural? #pluralgang #dissociativeidentitydisorder #osdd #dissociativetwt
You're not ✨vibing✨ you're just dissociating
We use this too! Recommended

Our Ender prefers to live as far away from his source material (Ender’s Game) as possible. It wasn’t exactly a bunch of happy memories for him, but he’s ok discussing it if anyone asks. Each fictive is unique.

Giving this a try! It’s got space for daily mood/Meds/triggers/symptoms/etc tracking, journaling, system rules, headmate profiles (space for 41 of them), inspirational quotes to color, alter check-in and tracking, gratitude prompts, and blank pages. Let’s GO!
Do NOT tell a trauma survivor ‘it could have been worse’.
As a system who’s new to the plural Twitter-verse, we’re a bit overwhelmed by the debates that go on, ngl. Not sure what we expected, but it wasn’t having to choose sides frequently, especially when alters have differing opinions. We’re adjusting!
Doctors interpret people seeking diagnosis as "wanting something to be wrong", when it's actually about wanting explanation and treatment for symptoms that already exist. It's natural to seek answers when something feels off. Don't let doctors shame you into thinking otherwise.
