In last Thursday's staff training we focussed on how to have conversations on sensitive topics. Staff felt really positive coming away with some more knowledge on how to tackle difficult conversations in the classroom.
In response to this I created the following framework in collaboration with our Excellent Teaching Team to support staff with difficult conversations. Staff have already starting using in the classroom (an ECT told me how successful it was in the classroom just the next day!).

Heavily inspired by @AVisserFuray I have created a summary sheet of things to consider when reading with a class which will be sit alongside our CPD sessions on reading... I'd really appreciate any feedback/ suggestions for how to improve it.
Really excited to be leading a whole school session on questioning, based on the idea of 'generative' questions that I saw in a brilliant @michaeldoron presentation. Here I have tried to come up a summary of some of the different type of generative questions we could ask.
On our INSET day @historysuperfan and @AVIEnglish1 led our first session on disciplinary reading. Staff were given input on different forms of text (particularly distinguishing between narrative and non-fiction) and further reading and then discussed the following areas:
