A Local Storm Report has been issued for a tornado in Scotts Valley, CA. Based on video, photos, firsthand accounts, and radar signatures a tornado occurred ~1:40 PM. A NWS Survey team will further investigate to provide a ranking. #cawx

Severe dissonance between “it’s hard to build solar projects in California because of all the environmentalists’ regulations” and watching thousands of Joshua trees cut down for one solar project.
4,200 Joshua trees are scheduled to be removed are replaced by solar panels for the Aratina Solar Project near Boron, CA in June of this year. They will not be salvaged but funds based on the size of the tree will be placed in a mitigation bank.
