Lower Costs for Kansans | Representative Sharice Davids
Groceries, health care - everything is just too expensive. I know how stressful that can be. I worked my way through college and am still paying off my student loans.
Proud to partner with @RepCleaver to make sure Kansas City has the tools it needs to host a safe, successful @FIFAWorldCup for everyone who comes to experience all our city has to offer. fox4kc.com/sports/2026-wo…

If ACA tax credits expire, health care premiums will rise by as much as 70% for thousands of Kansans. I'm working to ensure that doesn’t happen. kctv5.com/2025/10/09/lif…
I'm working to bring Democrats and Republicans together to reopen the government, keep health care affordable, and lower costs — because that's what Kansans deserve.
This ceasefire announcement is a long-overdue and encouraging step forward. Now, the focus must be on achieving a lasting peace in the region — starting with bringing every remaining hostage home and delivering urgent aid to those in need.

My mom served in the Army for 20 years, and I know how much every paycheck matters. That’s why I’m supporting the Pay Our Troops Act because those who serve should always be paid for it, shutdown or not.
A government shutdown doesn’t just make headlines. It hurts real, hardworking people. I’ve been talking with folks across #KS03 about how it’s affecting them and pushing both sides to get the government back open.

My mom served in the Army and raised my brothers and me on her own — missing even one paycheck would’ve meant the lights go out. We must work together to end the shutdown.
If ACA tax credits expire this year, health care costs will skyrocket in #KS03: 👩❤️👨 60-year-old couple: 📈 +$16,972/year 👨👩👧👦 Family of 4: 📈 +$7,041/year Kansas families can’t afford that. Congress must act NOW.
Dawn’s cancer treatments would cost $5K a week without health insurance tax credits. She says without them, she couldn’t afford her home. They expire this year — and she’s terrified. Congress must act now to extend these savings. kansascity.com/news/politics-…
Kansans are already working multiple jobs to make ends meet — just like my mom did. That’s why I’m fighting to lower grocery costs by cracking down on corporate price gouging that’s driving up prices.
Two years after Hamas’ horrific October 7 attack on Israel, we remember the innocent lives lost and those still held hostage. We must end this war’s devastating toll on civilians across the region and work toward lasting peace and security for all.
Air traffic controllers like Stephanie’s husband are already stretched thin. A government shutdown only adds stress — and uncertainty about their next paycheck. I’m working across the aisle to reopen the government and protect #KS03 families.
I've already heard from families from across #KS03 on how the government shutdown affects them, and my team and I are here to help. Visit davids.house.gov/shutdown for resources that may help during this time.

Government Shutdown Help | Representative Sharice Davids
I know many people are worried and upset about this government shutdown.
Rural Kansas can’t afford this shutdown. Farmers can’t access USDA loans, ranchers can’t get disaster assistance, and critical ag data is delayed. On top of reckless tariffs & trade wars, it’s devastating. We need bipartisan action to reopen the government.
Amy is right. I'm working to ensure all Kansans continue to have access to quality, affordable health care — now and in the future.

If Congress fails to act, ACA premium tax credits will expire — and Kansans’ health care premiums will skyrocket. Dawn told me that without the ACA, she couldn’t afford her home. That’s what’s at stake. I’m fighting to make these savings permanent. kansasreflector.com/2025/09/30/kan…
