We’re now on the third day of the government shutdown, and House leadership has canceled voting for next week. Congress must get back to work for the American people without delay.

Thanks, @NC_Governor, for your dedication to keeping everyone safe. #SL2025-93
Everyone deserves to be and feel safe in their daily lives. We can and must do more to keep North Carolina safe.
In response to numerous calls to our office, Social Security benefits will continue to be paid during the government shutdown. However, processing new applications may be delayed due to staff furloughs.

I’ve been talking with NC-01 residents about the government shutdown. It’s not about pointing fingers or placing blame. Families are the ones who ultimately lose out if we don't listen.
