During shutdowns, federal workers are told to “do more with less.” Meanwhile, Congress still cashes paychecks. That’s wrong. I’ve reintroduced an Amendment to end Member pay during shutdowns. Zero. No back pay either!!
2 years ago today: @SpeakerMcCarthy put America first and did the right thing to keep government open and troops paid—even at the expense of his job. Juxtapose that with Chuck Schumer, who has placed his own political ambitions ahead of our military and our country.
It doesn’t have to be this way. The men and women of CPD do an incredible job, but are sadly overwhelmed. Mayor Bibb needs to ask for help.
