So I did the math and found a system that would improve magic in three ways: 1. It slightly decreases how often the opening hand causes a non-game. 2. It makes digging for a combo with mulliganing about 40% as effective. 3. It greatly speeds up the game startup time.
Every machine learning course starts with a dataset. Somebody decided on the data you needed, collected it, and put it together in a neat format. All you need is to load it, and you can start modeling. Unfortunately, that's just fantasy. Real-world doesn't work like that.

I wonder if data is truly transient, or is it merely scoped to a frame of reference where the observer sees it as different/changing? The data might have been wrong, but it was true for that time. @AdiPolak
