CTV just pulled back the curtain on Carney’s budget, and the concerns are real. The interim head of the Parliamentary Budget Office deserves credit for calling it like it is, describing the so-called investment boost as unrealistic. CTV adds that even the Liberals appear to be…

Mark Carney's Swedish dreams could become a Canadian nightmare with job losses across many sectors from aviation to steel and auto. Carney would be foolish to dump the F-35 for Saab. Here's why. torontosun.com/opinion/column…

Alberta’s “radical” new idea is already completely normal in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, & most of Europe. It’s not privatization - it’s why mixed healthcare systems perform better than ours. The rest of the developed world figured this out decades ago.

🇨🇦: it’s wild what gov pays to do anything—like spending $25M to track AI adoption. The equivalent taxes paid by 62,500 households over a year… to track AI prices & survey businesses on use. A generous budget for this in private industry would be ~$300k, using top tier talent.

It’s the government’s job to win the support of the House, not the House’s job to prop up a government that isn’t willing to do what it takes to secure majority support. If there’s an election, it’s because the Liberals want one or they weren’t willing to do enough to avoid one.

It would be a comedy of Parliamentary errors by the opposition to put us into an election we patently do not want. And the electorate would punish them heavily.

If Justin Trudeau had introduced a budget with a deficit nearly twice as large as the previous year, I am 100% certain no pundit would be wondering aloud whether it constituted a rightward shift.
