Worked the @DotGrow table at Open Streets today, and I have a few observations. First, of the two dozen or so folks that we spoke to walking by, all of them got the message. People are internalizing the fact that demand for housing is high, and supply needs to respond.
Cities let us preserve forest. Fertilizer lets us preserve prairie. Growth lets us live lighter on the land. It was the light bulb that saved the whale.

i would say this attitude is probably the single biggest barrier to effective urban policymaking in new york specifically and the united states as a whole, we simply can't accept that there are essentially off the shelf solutions for our problems that have been proven elsewhere
