Picard ethics tip: The fact that a conflict has many sides does not imply that every side has merit.
#Larry is now a #hurricane - the 5th of 2021 Atlantic season and 4th hurricane formation since 18 August. It’s the first time on record that the Atlantic has had more than 3 hurricane formations between 18 August and 2 September.
Updated observed rainfall totals for the last 48 hours ending 11 pm Wednesday September 1st. Most of this rain has fallen during the last 12-24 hours. We needed to increase the color scale values from the map we previously posted with totals through 8 pm.
Stay safe everyone
Terrifying - second video I took. Currently in my basement after seeing this. #TORNADOWARNING @6abc @phl17 @NBCPhilly I’m in Gloucester county #BreakingNews #tornado
Short range guidance is showing over half a foot of rainfall in parts of our area tonight as torrential downpours develop. We're in a break now for #nyc and points south, but that'll change in a hurry by dark. #abc7ny
⚡️ STEER CLEAR OF DOWNED POWER LINES ⚡️ Utility crews are actively working to restore power lost as a result of Hurricane Henri. Use caution in areas where power lines are still down! Never assume that a downed power line is not energized, as it still could be “LIVE.” #StaySafe
This is what NJ first needs to be concerned about indirectly from the hurricane - these heavy rain bands overnight. @News12NJ @MichelePowersWx @Meteor_Mike @JGodynick

5.2 miles this morning @SpringLakeBeach Storms coming #run #runchat
Away from the coast, heavy rain is likely the biggest hazard from #Henri. Expect a widespread 3-5" of rainfall, with locally higher amounts. Flooding likely!
Tropical Storm #Henri is forecast to impact parts of the Northeast and southern New England beginning as early as tonight. One potential hazard is HEAVY RAIN, which may lead to considerable flash flooding between northern New Jersey and New England on Sunday and Monday.
The 2021 Atlantic #hurricane season has already produced 27 named storm days. That is more named storm days than 5 full Atlantic seasons during the satellite era (since 1966). These five seasons are: 1977, 1982, 1983, 1986 and 1991. #Grace #Henri
