All's Fair on Hulu is getting atrocious reviews and a lot of them focus on Kim Kardashian's acting. That's unfair. She's fine. It's the show that doesn't work. Ryan Murphy has never done a legal drama before and judging from this show, apparently has never seen one either.

I was at a screening where Mira Nair introduced THE NAMESAKE and talked about how her young son and his path ahead inspired her to take on the project. For any filmmakers and Mandami fans who haven't seen it, check it out. It's a GREAT movie!

But you at least passed the test of advocating for free IDs. First time that happened when asked these questions. Usually, the person responds if a person can't afford an ID, they shouldn't be voting. Congrats.

I used blender to make this solo 2hr animated feature film with a budget of 135k. I can’t imagine what I could do with $30mil… that is insane. The films will be public for 15 days only right here: watch.eventive.org/wd/play/68b1ee…

OpenAI confirms they're helping make an AI-generated movie called 'Critterz' • Goal is to finish production in 9 months • Budget is ~$30M • Plan is to debut the film at Canne • 'Paddington 3' writers penned the script • They're now casting voice actors • Art will be fed…

went to see OH HI! because I wanted to see how the premise played out. Where does the story go once she keeps him chained to a bed and realizes she's committed a crime? The movie doesn't have answers. She has no plan and never makes one. There's no negotiation. No cat and mouse.

The Naked Gun has a romantic getaway sequence that is (IMO) totally inspired by the classic fantasy sequence in Harold and Kumar: youtube.com/watch?v=yhQLwG…

DEXTER: RESURRECTION takes 3 episodes to settle into the old vibe and its a great, easy watch. The one big difference is that there's less frantic ball juggling than original series--He's older, we're older, I'm ok with a slower pace and leaving frantic for the final episodes.

The Materialists is painful. They sell a 2025 rom com and its just dull characters going in circles. Even Dakota Johnson (who I think is GREAT and great in this)--her character and situations are not funny. No attempts at humor. NOT FUN. Just dry. Why are these guys chasing her?

Jeremy Renner says he turned down #Hawkeye S2 because he was offered half the salary he made for S1 "I'm like, 'I'm sorry?... Why? Did you think I’m only half the Jeremy because I got ran over?"

People are going “How did he get 65K in residuals when he’s barely in the movie?” Yeah, that’s how big the DVD market was at the time, and how important residuals could be for actors not getting work on a regular basis. Also a big part of why actors went on strike in 2023.

Sebastian Stan says residuals from ‘HOT TUB TIME MACHINE’ saved his career before he joined the MCU. “I was actually struggling with work. I had just gotten off the phone with my business manager, who told me I was saved by $65,000 that came in residuals from Hot Tub Time…

A tale of two movies: Similar deal structures. Similar budgets. One made $45M from 3300 screens, post pandemic, and won the weekend. The other made $41M from 3600 screens pre-pandemic, and placed second. And yet this is the coverage.

Watched TOMBSTONE and blown away. Want to read it to see how clarity on the page was achieved. So many VERY similiar characters occupying the same locations, often with little dialogue. (The director must've been a genius).
