1 light day distance from us....Incredible...

As of today Voyager 1 is one light-day from Earth - 25.9 billion km (16.1 billion miles) away. A radio signal now takes 24 hours to reach it. In ~50 years, it has traveled about 1/1500th of the way to Alpha Centauri, our nearest star at 4.27 light-years. The Universe is…

Remember how good National Geographic used to be? When I was a kid happening on a stack of these was like finding actual treasure. I used to read my grandpa's old ones, until one year I got a subscription for Christmas. It was like having the whole world at my fingertips.

Australia just recorded zero cervical cancer cases in women under 25 - for the first time since records began in 1982. This is what happens when a country commits to HPV vaccination and screening. We protect our girls and save lives.

Every machine in a Hospital that diagnoses your body without cutting you open is based on a principle of Physics, discovered by a Physicist who had no interest in Medicine. If you think the world doesn’t need Basic Science, or that somehow Science has failed you, think again.
