I am seeing certain people making fun of those who lost a lot today. Guys, there are people who are seriously considering killing themselves because of what just happened overnight. This is not the time to be a dick.
Today's crash shows that the market will always find a way to humble you. If there's one thing that can be learned, that is to never leverage up your entire portfolio no matter how confident you are in your thesis. Surviving is winning.
Today was an insane stress test for DeFi Money markets like AAVE handled this dip flawlessly Stablecoins recovered their peg Perpetual DEXs didn't do so well. Lighter went down while Hyperliquid forcefully closed short positions. But events like this will make DeFi stronger
My advice is to not revenge trade. If your portfolio is down a lot or you got liquidated today, take a break for a few days and don't try to force any trades. It sucks to lose money but this market will give you a chance to make it back.
Looks like the actual total liquidation amount is $19.08 BILLION dollars in 12h. This is 10x worse than what we saw during the FTX crash.
