Don’t feel there’s enough contact to bring the attacker down but can see why it’s been given, very similar to the one that Gassama got against Dundee. Attacker is running at speed and Tavernier is in a position where he runs the risk. Referee and VAR having an eventful night.
Red card Irrelevant that he won the ball, it’s endangering an opponent
We don’t like the fact that probably would have been given as a handball because there’s next to nothing the defender can do. However, that push is nonsense. A ruling on handball that is uniform at every level needs to be taken and announced ASAP.

People that are saying we are “picking” on a specific referee just for the sake of it. The said referee is making regular mistakes and continues to be given games when he is clearly out of his depth for the top level It’s who is appointing him that needs questioning.
