So, putting aside my histrionics for a sec, here's what we know about cars: - most people can't actually afford them - they're poisoning the ocean - they're wrecking the climate - they're the leading cause of death for young humans - they take up most public space in our cities
Noticed anything different on your drive to work this week? 🚗 For many, #BackToSchool means longer tailbacks and higher stress levels. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Here’s @DameSarahStorey to explain why 👇
I know we’re up to our nipples in killer Brexit analogies but for obvious reasons this one speaks to me.

In 2018 there were 1,782 road deaths in Great Britain, a level which has remained broadly stable since 2012. #RoadSafety bit.ly/2LzD76Z
Q: Describe Twitter to someone who has never used it. A:
Cyclists aren’t the ‘scourge of the streets’. They are mothers, fathers, grandparents and children all doing their bit to make Britain a healthier, greener and more liveable place. Share this video from @Chris_Boardman to help us make our message loud and clear to @channel5_tv

Why oh why are there no life bans from driving for repeat offenders. Why? The amount of parliamentary enquires I’ve attended on ‘safety’ and this is still normal. A driving ban has no cost to society, only the individual. Surely a no brainier for any civilised society.
Tomorrow, the country of #Brunei will start stoning gay people to death. We need to do something now. Please boycott these hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei. Raise your voices now. Spread the word. Rise up.
I’ve signed this petition to revoke A50 and deal with the consequences afterwards - referendum, election, whatever. I have no idea whether these things do any good but after May’s astonishingly irresponsible speech this evening I’ll give anything a go. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/2415…

Really? 30 weeks for killing a cyclist whilst distracted by your phone? This is a serious crime and should be treated as such. O but he was driving a car, it doesn't really count, doesn't cut it.
