How to lose the 21st century to China: 1. Unilaterally disarm regarding the soft power competition by ending economic aid and international media agencies. 2. Impose tariffs irrationally on everyone. 3. Invade Greenland, break up NATO, and isolate the US from the entire world.…

Palantir CEO Alex Karp calls out the media’s selective empathy, “Our country has selective empathy for everyone but working class white males.” He notes if boats bringing fentanyl here killed elites there wouldn’t be media coverage because everyone would agree it was ok.

This is the real reason Jimmy Kimmel is being taken off the air. Brian Stelter: "Nexstar already owns lots of TV stations. It wants to merge with Tegna, which owns lots of other stations. In order to do that, it needs Brandon Carr, the FCC Chair's, permission, and it actually…

Should the government censor speech it doesn’t like? Of course not. The FCC does not have a roving mandate to police speech in the name of the “public interest.” usatoday.com/story/opinion/…

President Biden is right. Political satire is one of the oldest and most important forms of free speech. It challenges those in power while using humor to draw more people in to the discussion. That’s why people in influential positions have always targeted it for censorship.

President Trump, Jan 20: “I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America. Never again will the immense power of the state be weaponized to persecute political opponents.”

I really don't understand what these people are doing.

About 75% of the clean energy manufacturing investments announced since President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act have been in Republican districts. But those projects could be at risk under the latest version of President Trump’s tax bill. wapo.st/4lf12pi

Setting aside the desperate lies here, if immigration enforcement money was so critical, then why tuck it in a vehicle the White House knew would take MONTHS to pass? A standalone bill with money for immigration enforcement likely gets 70+ votes in the Senate. Easily.

Everything else—the CBO score, the proper baseline, the minutiae of the Medicaid policy—is immaterial compared to the ICE money and immigration enforcement provisions.
