If you're wondering why there's been less episodes this month, it's in large part because I've had to edit a length conversation with Jim Lobe about Dick Cheney and the history of the neoconservatives and how their legacies tie to Trump despite MAGA & Never Trumpers denying it.

This thread, particularly the comments, are amazing because people differ so wildly on what they consider bad. Criteria for judging films has dissolved.
No, b/c it was fine when it came out too, but video game nerds had to whine b/c it didn't fit the "storyline" of the games despite the "storyline" back then being threadbare. So, Morton/Jankel made a cyberpunk satire of early 90s NY politics & people cried like babies.

There’s a kind of misanthrope who dislikes people in the abstract but likes actual people and there’s a kind of humanist who likes people in the abstract but dislikes actual people.
I believe it can most accurately be summed up as "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the grumpy guy yelling 'Get Off My Lawn' to the kids". Then again, I still haven't seen the movie.
I don’t get it @FreddyInSpace, Predator: Bad Lands was pretty good. Had solid action, humor, good runtime. Looking forward to the next one. I’m trying to understand the hate towards this movie.
