More than 700 Canadian forest fires are pouring smoke into some of the most heavily populated cities in NA, including Chicago, Toronto and Montreal. In the US, air quality alerts are up from Minnesota to Maine. And for now there is no relief coming. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Smoke and grit from hundreds of forest fires have spread across large parts of Canada and the northern US, sending air quality across the Midwest and northeast US and Toronto to unhealthy levels.
That's an impressive pool of cool air in Northern Canada for late July! It's heading for the Eastern US for end of the week. Hopefully it hangs around until I return to Boston Aug 6. I have been enjoying the pleasant temps in Europe, heat & humidity would be a shock to the system
