The media’s obsession with Reform - particularly compared to The Greens - is a lesson in confirmation bias. Farage, fronting a party with no MPs and fewer councillors, can barely move for journalists. It does a good job of convincing the public Reform are the party to watch.

Enough! Today, the citizens of Milan blocked intersections at four crucial locations in the city to demand that their voices be heard, and taken into consideration. Let's unite our forces to ensure that Milan becomes a city where no one should fear for their life on the streets.

Because the unofficial motorhome campsite wasn’t bad enough, even @PSOSEdinburgh have now started parking so they block the pavement!! 🤬 there’s no way you’d get a double buggy through there and the tow bar / step is a hazard to ankles and anyone with poor sight @HalOsler

This is nonsense - LTN’s do not BAN cars from using them, but stop rat-running from long-distance commuters through residential neighbourhoods. They also provide a safe CHOICE for people to feel safe to walk & cycle locally; look at the difference they’ve made to the school run!

As Transport Secretary, and a Conservative, I believe in giving people more choice on how to travel, not banning cars from places. That’s why I’ve stopped funding for any new LTNs. 🗞 Read all about it - and more - in today’s Sunday @Telegraph 👇 telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/…

A banging start to #CycleCounty2023 with @Chris_Boardman asking: ‘We don’t need any more evidence. The Question is: Why aren’t we doing this, given clear, multiple benefits? The Answer is: Fear of Loss. That’s what we need to overcome - & counter it with the Fear of Missing Out!’

The UK's leading #ActiveTravel conference, #CycleCounty2023 starts with @AndrewGant3 talking about the health and freedom benefits of active travel, and how @OxfordshireCC is working to make it the norm for short journeys. @TransportXtra @landor_links @LTTmagazine

As #NHS75 is being celebrated and analysed, there’s a lot of talk about prevention and public health, yet still there are cllrs in Edinburgh blocking schemes that would enable more people to walk, wheel and cycle more often along with reducing air pollution. We see you 👀👀

There is no solution which leaves driving unchanged yet improves things for pedestrians. Stop searching for it. It doesn’t exist.

Because all their words about supporting active travel, reducing car use, pollution etc mean nothing if they abandon them at the first encounter with any opposition.

Your periodic reminder that, to many car-brained people, non-car users do not exist and "not going by car" means "not going at all"

The article doesn't have any evidence fewer people went to Brighton - it just says parking revenue went down as fewer people went there by car.

Concerned to hear from a resident last night that they received a CCC letter rejecting their postal vote on the grounds that their signature was not exactly the same as the one on their application. The resident has multiple health problems!

Well, that was fun day, capped off by the dumbest of dumb passes. This is the third time this summer that an oncoming driver has had to come to a complete halt on the B729 because of someone overtaking me right into their path.

Just to clarify. In UK, all ebikes are limited so that they do not assist above 15.5mph. Any electric 2 wheelers which do power above 15.5mph are electric motor bikes and have to be taxed and insured, riders to wear helmets and as "motor vehicles" comply with speed limits.

You didn’t write that in the hope ppl would contradict you BUT The fact is that without YOU @POPScotland wouldn’t have been the success it HAS BEEN The real failure is politicians believing ’voters = motorists’ and being too scared to do enough @SpokesLothian @TransformScot
