Nearly 3 years ago I first tried the 10x beta. It's come a long way since then and has been my daily driver for quite a while now, congrats on the release Stewart! 🎉

10x Version 1.0 has now been released! Download it here: 10xeditor.com

Programmer's mindset: Why spend time coding a direct solution, when you can write a big framework for eventually writing code to solve the problem. Same for blogs. There's always a niche corner case that annoys you enough to scrap an existing solution and start writing your own.

P4EditVS for VS2022 is now on marketplace as a standalone extension. marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName… I've not seen any updates on the plans for MSFT to allow 2 extensions to be published under the same product for months. So I've created a 2022 version (like most other devs).

I also just found out you can P4 Timelapse-View images and it can blend between revisions in a looping autoplay manner.

TIL: You can set P4 Timelapse-View app to Incremental Diffs mode - how is that not the default? So much more useful than Single Revision. Multiple Revisions mode is great too.

Inspired by @cmuratori recent Windows Terminal demo, here's 10x editing a 1GB file at 3000fps. 10xeditor.com

Close to 100 installs. Hopefully that's improved nearly 100 peoples' daily Visual Studio experience. marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…

This is a very good editor with a promising future. Give it a try and send any issues you find to Stewart.

10x has now moved to Open Beta 10xeditor.com (which basically just means you don't have to sign up to download) And if you like what I'm doing please consider supporting me 10xeditor.com/support_10x.htm

I wrote a simple Visual Studio plugin for Perforce because I couldn't find one avaiable for VS2017+ that didn't slow down my IDE. I uploaded it in case there's other people in a similar situation. marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…

Introducing JetBrains Mono – the free and open-source typeface for developers. Simple forms and attention to every detail make code easier to read, no matter what IDE you use. Take a look at what makes it unique, your eyes will thank you. jb.gg/wert6r #JetBrainsMono

FYI this is super useful. I'm not sure I would have coped over the last four years without this.

This is not super well documented but here is how to visualize and enable Visual Assist with #UE4 HLSL files inside VS #gamedev

This is bonkers: 4k images carefully contrived to contain each of the 24-bit RGB colors, exactly once. allrgb.com
