GitHub should introduce support for "private" issues and pull requests. Would make me feel a lot better about pushing security patches for certain things while still waiting for CI/CD/etc. to complete, and for code review to pass. Right now, all this has to be done oob.


One day people will realize that @fairsrc is the only way to share a product's source code that aligns the business with its customers and its users.


This is what happens when you have an engineer fix a performance problem with zero empathy for actual users, i.e. nobody's steering the product vision.

I feel like I need to write about how I've over the years adopted a JIT-backlog. I only work on features that 1) people keep asking for, and 2) seem interesting to me now. Everything else is just ideas and musings.


The upgrade from Rails 7 to Rails 8 was by far the easiest major version upgrade in Rails history, at least since I started with Rails 4. Bravo. 🤘
