For Christmas, I made you 25 days of free programming puzzles. I hope you like them. 💕 🚨 We're less than two hours away from this year's #AdventOfCode 2022! 🚨 PS: How'd you first hear about AoC? I don't exactly advertise.

4 is definitely a risk. It's partly about staff career progression. The incentives are to take a new initiative and self diagnose it as a tremendous success. Hard evidence of effectiveness is uncertain and heavily lagged.

Here's how to make the paper airplane that set the world record for distance wired.trib.al/XJP5c7r

From WIRED

I was hopeful about talk from the TBI about education for a digital age. However, I have to agree with Daisy that much of the report seems to dwell on ideas that are old fashioned or repudiated.

The problem with today's report on education from the Tony Blair Institute is it reads like it could have been written in 1985. It's promoting ideas that were the future, once. And it doesn't even seem aware of genuinely cutting-edge ideas with transformative potential.

Looks like I'm off to @PyConEU. I'm really looking forward to learning some code and meeting some people. Drop me a note if you're going to be there.

As kids, I played through Forest of Doom with my brother. I think we somehow sketched out a map of that one too 😂

I wouldn't want to use a question like this without a specific comment. I make a point of asking pupils to draw roughly accurate diagrams, especially for angles.
