This 30-Days-to-Pay compromise solution is a win-win which allows consumers a reasonable amount of time to pay back their loans while allowing the industry to remain profitable. @shelnutt417 Please join with us to make payday lending reform a priority this session.
We do not want to eliminate Payday Lending in Alabama we just make sure that the interest is lower than 456%. @shelnutt417 please bring this bill up for a vote in committee this week.
30 Days to Pay for Alabamians is not too much ask! Thank you @SenatorAOrr Orr and @RepColeman for making Payday Lending reform a priority this legislation session.
Ohio’s new “short-term” loans have a longer repayment period, a cap on interest fees(28%) and limits on amount borrowed. The Ohio bill that recently passed is MUCH more restrictive that the 30 Days to Pay legislation we are working to pass here in Alabama. cincinnati.com/story/money/20…
