The floor lifted significantly. The ceiling - not.
We can turn off the simulation.
If you want to build a *truly great* agent the process is exactly the same. Always look at your data through the user's lens, without any misleading filters or aggregates.
One of the things that seems like a huge distraction but has helped give me a pulse on the X userbase: I sit down with 2-5 users per day and go over their timeline and how they use X. And I try to do it with the most diverse set of users: moms, heads of state, scientists,…
outside of the EU. what have we done
Apps in ChatGPT are starting to roll out today to Free, Go, Plus, and Pro users outside of the EU. More pilot partner apps and availability coming soon. openai.com/index/introduc…
Thanks @OpenAI for stealing another workday from me with your new fucking SDKs. Btw, you cooked, congrats. Btw 2: WER IS MY CHATKIT.

How to reverse AI brain rot: · Stop chasing frictionless convenience. Accept some slowness and complexity. Embrace manual effort to train your mind and body. It's the only way to grow. · Resist over-automation. Keep skills alive that a machine could easily replace, even if its…

Anthropic claims sonnet 4.5 can "maintain focus" for 30 hours. Can anyone explain what *exactly* does it mean? Context will overflow much faster so it's a model PLUS harness? If so, it's technically not just a model's trait? Am I missing something here?
hey I have an idea. How about we just ban meta?
Excited to share Vibes — a new feed in the Meta AI app for short-form, AI-generated videos.
how about solving ecommerce support ticket so that I don't end up frustrated with the response?
Sam Altman proposed a future AGI test: if a model like "GPT-8" solved quantum gravity and could explain the reasoning behind its discovery would that qualify as AGI? David Deutsch agreed that it would qualify as AGI, making it a potential benchmark
being extremely online is bad for your brain. that's the most i can deduce from this.
I agree, sth is clearly broken. There's way too much yapping about "winning" and not nearly enough about purpose, craft, ideas and products.
The MBAification of CS majors has reached new heights. Founders who want a clear formula for garanteed success and have no passion other than being better than the next guy. What happened to building for building's sake? What happened to being passionate about solving your…
What a launch video 🤯
This. People who say "marketplaces are dead" don't understand why people shop in marketplaces in the first place.
Hate to say it but the future of shopping is not “tell an AI agent what you want and it figures out and buys it for you from a shady site that ships the wrong thing” It’s “use a trusted app/site with great customer support that has the largest selection of goods and ships today”
human brain can't be just prediction = the Earth *must* be in the center of the universe
I'm not sure if AI generates 90% of my code. I'm sure I remove 90%+ of the code AI generated.
Reminder for all of you who are so excited about spec-driven development: Code was, is and will be the only good specification.
Finally!!!!
ChatGPT now supports Project-only memory where ChatGPT can use other conversations in that project for additional context but won't use saved memories from outside the project help.openai.com/en/articles/68…

Yesss. I tend to be very down-to-earth so I'm always sceptical about such claims, but this one is absolutely true. Kids literally rewire the brain, make life fuller in this weirdly deep way. And Sam had his kid only for 6 months, this feeling only gets stronger with time.
i can't think of a non-cliche way to say this, but everyone who says having a kid is the best thing in the world is both correct and still somehow understating it.
I think we're gonna see a huge productivity jump, it'll just take longer. Tech develops way faster than real-world application. And imagination develops way faster than tech. Before dot-com bubble people got the future right, and yet it crashed anyway.
LLM adoption among US workers is closing in on 50%. Meanwhile labor productivity growth is lower than in 2020. Many counter-arguments can be made here, e.g. "they don't know yet how to be productive with it, they've only been using for 1-2 years", "50% is still too low to see…
the round after series Z unplugs the simulation
We’re excited to announce that Databricks is raising a Series K investment that values the company at >$100 billion. We’ll use this new capital to accelerate our AI offerings for customers, including expanding Agent Bricks and investing in our new database offering, Lakebase.…
