We’ve made it through this half term! Big well done and thanks to @mASCotsupport @PaCCBrighton @AmazeSussex and all PaCC partner groups for all you have done during lockdown and beyond for so many families in the City. Same again next half term?
Well it looks like our hard work has paid off, two alternative provisions for ASC children should be up and running by next year. Interviews for lead ✔️children’s places being filled ✔️proves working closely with the LA can get things done 💚🧡💙 #ASC #LoveanAutistic
Just received these in the post. @Claire_R123 @ChatterPackUK it is just the book I’ve been looking for. Got emotional reading the last page, as it’s so true. Thank you so much! X

An #autistic child copes in school. Teacher thinks everything is ok. Parents see a different side. Home is the safe place (hopefully). The coke bottle effect. Btw “coping in school” is not good enough. And it comes at a cost.

Parents can't simply be parents anymore. “You have to be a doctor. You have to be a nurse. You have to be a social worker. You have to be a legal representative. You have to be a counsellor. You have to be a carer. You have to be an advocate. You have to be all of these things.”
