Cursed but I love it. The same energy as "we noticed Go devs started relying on machine-dependent map iteration order so we just randomized it always."

same. generate 10 and keep only the ones that start with a leading 0. This way you always know which accounts are "real" just by looking at the ID and you teach your teams to properly string-encode account IDs

I think there's no need for AWS IAM users today. So I made a PoC to "prove" it. First here are the general use-cases for creds * AWS SSO works great for humans 👍 * Roles work fine inside AWS 👍 * Federation works fine from other clouds 👍 * Raspberry Pi in your closet ❓ 1/4

THIS IS SO EXCITING. I asked for a capability like this back in Jan 2020 (times were simpler back then) and it's almost kind of shipped! Undocumented right now, but it works. 🎉 Now if only AWS sts:AssumeRoleWithWebIdentity could map arbitrary claims to session tags.

Hi Eric! While I can't turn back the clock on any trouble caused, I wanted to let you know that we heard your feedback and have good news to share. 🆕 All new and existing accounts created using Organizations are no longer automatically subscribed to marketing emails. 😀 ^KB

Hat tip to @honeycombio for persisting aggregate query results ~forever. I was curious about general traffic levels on some services I tore down entirely in the fall, and here I am looking at graphs in HC from query links I posted to Slack 9 months ago. ✨

In 1959, a Swedish engineer at Volvo patented what would become one of the greatest inventions of all time Volvo stood to make billions But after a meeting with Volvo's President, he decided to give it away for free - and it changed the world Here’s how that meeting went 🧶👇

These little guys will never learn that they don’t have to fight over a sugar supply I keep refreshing.

BIRD BEATS: BOREAL OWL. If you’re just catching up, this is what I do in my off time now 🤠

I think this is my favorite one yet. Lots of complex flavors, but they don't fight each other. The balance evolves with each sip.

👇 This would be very useful for me! #awswishlist

ooh and then if you've got it linked to my AWS SSO user id, which is the same everywhere, you could even let me mount a home dir of mine from another account! (presuming I had permissions to do so)

So much this. 👇 AWS encourages multi-account for isolation but $100 minimum per-account for biz kills having an account per-env / per-engineer / etc. It's not like there's any cost diff to AWS if you're filling the same number of tickets across 1 account or 100. #AWSWishlist

It's simple, it's almost trivial... but it is how support is billed. Dev & biz support flat rate per account. This matters, because dev/biz support still required per account to unlock basic account automation APIs dev (trusted advisor, support API, etc).

I would watch a 90s style sitcom centered around Data: youtu.be/crzJ6kTueg4
