This is insanely awesome analysis. I remember while working relief efforts after the tornado a local EM said the NWS told him it was a 5 but they weren’t going to rate it that. (His words, not mine lol)
On November 17th, 2013, a high-end EF4 impacted Washington, Illinois. This tornado devastated multiple subdivisions in Washington; sweeping away homes. Official surveys finalized the tornado at 190 mph. However, detailed cycloid analysis suggests higher winds were present. [1/7]
Here’s the raw video of the moment of the jump if you missed it on the initial thread. Hopefully helps dispel claims of ai lol. The final shot was a photomosaic of stacked images, which is why it’s so high resolution (and why the aircraft was no longer visible).
During a severe thunderstorm, lightning strikes street lighting in Thuwal, north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday evening, November 14, 2025. We thank Shuaaib Mohammed for the report!

I mean it’s there I guess lol
Currently above Michigan!
Here she is!! Can’t be upset with this so far! Just North of Garber, Ok @KOCOMichael @tornadopayne
One result? While Tump demolishes U.S. science budgets and tilts at windmills, Chinese companies are building the world’s biggest offshore wind turbines, with the next one in development at Ming Yang have triple the power generation capacity of this one: revkin.substack.com/p/while-the-us……
Based on reports coming in, this is approximately where Northern Lights are visible right now... Bz values have been steadily falling, which means the peak of the Northern Lights might still be ahead. Keep your cameras ready, and if you have any reports, feel free to comment!
GOOD NEWS! Northern Lights are slowly but surely dropping further south right now. This map is based on the latest reports across the United States. Keep in mind, we are still very early into tonight. They could drop even further south, or stall. We'll have to wait and see. Get…
Oklahoma. I've wanted this shot since I got here. I really didn't think it would be possible TBH. Nature rewards the patient
Last night, a severe geomagnetic storm painted magnificent colors of the northern lights across a starry canvas over North America.
This sounds crazy BUT is a known phenomenon during high-end events. Rapid changes in the interplanetary magnetic field distort Earth’s magnetic field, occasionally inducing low-frequency currents in the Earth and grounded conductors. Rarely, that causes sounds in equipment.
Believe it or not, during peak conditions this evening, I heard sounds of the power poles next to me crackling. Turns out, under the most extreme geomagnetic storms, power poles can be heard crackling. Never once heard it before. #aurora #wxtwitter
My first time doing an image Pano of the intense geomagnetic storm on 11/11/25. God this collage together feels like a dream I never thought I would get. 🥹
And this is why I always book a window seat! Flying back to DFW tonight I was dazzled by the aurora borealis from 35,000 feet! 😍 ✈️
Still going in interior Alaska! 90 minutes south of Fairbanks on a frozen lake with no other souls or sounds besides the shifting ice. Air temp -9 F.
ROUND 2 WEDNESDAY! Another aurora borealis display is likely Wednesday evening! May be EVEN BETTER, weather permitting! We think the biggest “solar storm” hasn’t even arrived yet. The sun has emitted five X-class solar flares, the most intense kind, in the past several days.…
