I’ve had people look at me with genuine shock when I say dealing with my health insurance company has been far worse than surviving and recovering from an out of hospital cardiac arrest, but it’s true: more stress, more anxiety, more anger, more feelings of hopelessness.
Glad to be a part of this important work. We should always question our practices re: futile vs fruitful interventions. This should help shed some light on LT in #ACLF, a disease state often painted with the brush of futility.
When we reset, we should use the opportunity to stop doing ineffective interventions, and focus on what has most impact.@NHSEngland @NHSGIRFT
