Working on #Nabla I've often looked out of my corner office window at the #Matterhorn, and finally I climed it A guide's knowledge of the route makes your ascent twice as fast, making sure you'll be back for dinner Let us be your #Vulkan & #GPU guides and elevate your software

Ray marching is a common approach to GPU-accelerated volume rendering, but gives biased transmittance estimates. My new @SIGGRAPHAsia paper (+code) proposes an amazingly simple formula to eliminate this bias almost completely without using more samples. momentsingraphics.de/SiggraphAsia20…

Bicyclist deaths in the US are up 89% (!) since 2009. Biking on public roads doesn’t have to be this dangerous. This is a policy choice.

Switzerland is one of the richest nations in the world. Still the country is rarely discussed—even while European nations suffer from stagnant growth and increasing debt. In a new post, I show why Switzerland can serve as a European example of successful economic policy.

Wow, probably the most eye opening chart you will see today. Can someone please explain why people take 6% mortgages to buy a house if renting is cheaper? They could make 9%+ on their equity in the stock market instead as well. Double loss.

This is bait, I pay far less tax in Switzerland than I ever paid in Poland. Also the Tax burden in the UK is not 45% someone is plotting the top tax bracket and not including the mandatory Insurance contributions which don't entitle you to benefits proportional to salary.

What’s the point of working hard, starting a business, creating jobs, if the state takes more than 50% of your extra effort when you hit the top income tax bracket? What is the highest tax rate that feels reasonable and justified to you?

Excited to share our #ICCV25 paper presenting an Augmented Mass-Spring (AMS) model for real-time dense #HairSimulation! AMS adds biphasic coupling to traditional mass-spring systems → better stability, global preservation and non-Hookean effects — efficiently. @KAUST_News @Adobe

Thanks for NOT replying @grok found it "Efficient Depth Peeling via Bucket Sort" by Fang Liu et al. dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/15…

@grok find an Order Independent Transparency paper from the 2000s by a researcher with what seems to be a Chinese name which works by using as many Multiple Render Targets with integer formats to effectively have 1024bits per pixel which are used as occupancy masks along a ray

How do we reconstruct a 3D scene from photos with varying exposures? Standard methods often fail, leaving you with blown-out colors or disturbing shadows. We're excited to introduce Neural Exposure Fields (NExF), our new work accepted at #NeurIPS2025! 🧵
