Here is what confuses me about San Francisco. We have the most liberal, left-wing government & population in the country. We have a $13B budget. And we have 8,000 people sleeping in the rain this week. Can someone please explain this to me?
I want EVs to win. But there are environmental costs to them we’re not talking about. ✅ You’re only as green as the way your energy is generated. 1/3rd of electricity is made by coal plants. ✅ Heavy cars (including EVs) damage roads. Asphalt and concrete release massive CO2.
Wonder how many thousand pounds of food will be sent to the trash from this outage 😑

My rule of thumb is that you’ll probably spend at least $1M to move to Kubernetes. That’s new ops hires, training, initial productivity loss, etc. If you don’t have a $1M problem that Kubernetes is solving then I don’t think you should even consider it.
Yep

Facebook is another company where you have to do obscure computer science puzzles to get a job there, but once there feel free to write code that crashes 20% of the apps on the App Store. Quality is unimportant provided you can feel smug about how to manipulate data structures.

In the past 72 hours we've learned: 1. Trump knew Putin was hunting our soldiers. 2. Putin successfully killed our soldiers. 3. The Admin. knowingly sold faulty anti-body testing kits. 4. COVID-19 had its largest ever single day cases. 5. Trump tweeted a "white power" video.
