Governor @Tim_Walz is a climate champion—full stop. In the last few years, he has put on a masterclass of how to meaningfully improve the lives of Minnesotans while tackling the climate crisis. A thread 🧵👇
No matter what happens tomorrow, I'm just happy that so many people have gotten to see how amazing @Tim_Walz is. Infinitely proud to have worked for him (and be the person behind so many of these viral photos/videos of him). Here are a few of my favorite Walz memories 🧵
She was rad in 1983 as I sat in our car, parked in the garage, listening to "time after time" on a .99 cent cassette tape over and over until my parents came looking for me. 40+ years later - its good to know that if kids are lost, they can look, and they'll still find you...
Cyndi Lauper going to the US Senate to change a law that allowed homeless shelters to deny someone a bed based on their sexuality is the most rock star thing I've seen a rock star do.
Today we released “Realm Of Possiblity: 15 Ways NYC is Improving Public Space for New Yorkers.” It’s a summary of our policy + project priorities and what New Yorkers can expect in the months to come! See you outside!🌳🛹🚽👷🏻♀️🍴🛝 🗽(1/2) nyc.gov/site/publicrea…
This is an amazing statistic in light of recent actions.

I keep thinking about this as we open new Rapid Ride lines in Seattle, especially as I’m (illegally - I know I’m the worst) locking my bike to parking signs because there isn't bike parking near my bus stop.
We're launching 500 secure bike parking locations across the city! Secure bike parking will help more New Yorkers choose cycling and we are seeking an operator to begin installations next year. The network is expected to be completed over 5 years. More: bit.ly/3USCK9Q
Two- and three-wheeled vehicles—including e-bikes—account for the majority of global emissions reductions from all electric vehicles as of 2023. Or, as the New York Times put it, “tiny electric vehicles pack a bigger climate punch than cars.” fastcompany.com/91092410/color…

As I biked in speeding traffic and on sidewalks (the red parts) from home to downtown Bellevue today, I found myself wondering what my new council member meant when he proposed bike lanes be “a last resort” if car lanes are impacted. Maybe that means after I am hit? #VisionZero
Hallå to Stockholm 🇸🇪 One of the original members and inspirations of C40 Cities! We’re looking forward to exploring the solutions Mayor @KWanngrd has implemented for the city to become carbon-neutral by 2040. 🚢 🚲 🥕 ♻️ #UnitedInAction
Jon Talton's latest @seattletimes column nails it. WA is consistently ranked as one of the best states for workers AND for business. That’s because the policies we've pursued have worked. But conservatives just want to go backward. #waleg #waelex
