Spotted Gar spawning project begins! Today @NichollsBiology grad students from Bayousphere Research Lab & @TheGarLab injected broodstock fish! We expect spawning activity ~24-48 hrs, eggs laid ~48-72 hrs! Some embryos will be shipped to @FishEvoDevoGeno for genomics research!

I've got a double dose of #SundayFishSketch this week. I fulfilled the brief with a simple flying fish, intentionally simple for a project that I'm working on. I've also included a neon tetra that has a little bit more detail.
