They're lying. They know it and don't care. All they care about is money. I used to keynote about ~12-15 tech events a year. This was my only contact with H-1Bs and indians. At the time I had no idea how big of an issue it was but their employers did. That I guarantee.
This video (had to confirm, it’s real) shows the H-1B scam. There’s endless chain migration as described here. All the tech guys either don’t know this or they are lying. One H-1B = dozens more family members via loopholes or fraud.
