London Tester Gathering Workshops 2019
Checkout London Tester Gathering Workshops 2019, a 3 day software testing workshops event.
The wait is over! I've just released my free #Java course! 🎉 The course is designed for beginners to programming, so if you or anyone you know has been wanting to get into coding, this is a great resource to do so. testautomationu.applitools.com/java-programmi…
My main contribution was propping up the bathroom door and I was still privileged to be a part of it. @techgirl1908 rocked as always and the audience was so engaged!
Also...don't tell me representation doesn't matter. This is by far the most diverse group I've seen at a tech meetup in London and I'm so happy to be (a very small) part of supporting it!
Another example of software testing and SRE both having the same challenges and the same learnings.
over the last couple years I've shifted from "we have to teach SRE stuff to these wild engineers" to "assume the engineers know what the right thing to do is and empower them to do it" and this feels way better

Happy #InternationalWomensDay Engineering Managers at @moo_tech gifted all the Ladies in the tech team an inspirational book written by a lady writer! They will be a core of our new section in the company library! Pretty neat!
I stand by my words! The bouldering social was a great time!
Great fun tonight at the @ministryoftest Testers’s Bouldering Social :) it was @ioanasaysgo’s first time and apparently the “best tester’s meet-up I’ve been to this year” 😂
This keynote from @techgirl1908 is amazing! I think it's a must watch for anyone curious about machine learning youtu.be/qgqnj5X7q9k
Great thread on E2E automation, the context it exists in and choosing your tools 🔨
You don’t use Selenium to do your browser end to end checks. It’s a part of your solution. You also probably have a test framework, a programming language, additional libraries, a package manager, a test runner, GRID, Drivers and much more I'm sure.
I’m still very hesitant to do it, but I need to learn how to do it, so... I’m sharing the news with you👀 I created my first @skillshare classes - animating #SVG with simple #CSSanimations - for people who would like to do their first coding steps 🎉 👉 skl.sh/2HWxY7f
"Always put yourself on a steep learning curve" - good career and future proofing advice from @alanpage #testbash
"Ops teams make changes that impact the use/scalability/cost of our product so of course testers should be involved" #TestBash
I interviewed @ezagroba once and today I was in her interview workshop! #TestBash #tbtestmatch
Focus on the learner. They know what they need and the format they need that in. Make the learner the centre of attention #TestBash
