My youngest child went back to school today. In lockdown their EHCP was finalised. The difference in them from having the correct support & a fantastic school is life changing. Even after 6 months off, they were too anxious for school before covid. They see the child, they care.
People think of clinical depression as not being able to get out of bed. While this can be the case sometimes, it is not always. Someone could go to work every day with a smile on their face and be depressed. There is no look. One presentation is not more serious than the other.

Seriously, the fact that *the pub is opening in a fortnight* is more newsworthy than the government removing the right to jury trial? Of greater public interest? Where the hell are your news values?
Quite how yesterday’s announcement that the government wants to remove the right to jury trial has not made the front page of every newspaper is beyond me.
I worry that this seismic change to our constitution is not being given the attention it urgently warrants. So I'll say again: The government wants to abolish jury trials in order to address a court backlog caused by its own cuts, under the pretence that it was caused by Covid.

Young people with autism and/or learning disabilities are facing unjustified detention during lockdown. This is a breach of human rights.
