We're giving away 10 FREE Recharm AI accounts. So… why do creative teams keep making visually similar ads? (one of many reasons 👇) Because they pull clips from memory instead of searching their folders. It is painful to sift through hours of video to find just one shot. So…

Finally, Python 3.14 lets you disable GIL! It's a big deal because earlier, even if you wrote multi-threaded code, Python could only run one thread at a time, giving no performance benefit. But now, Python can run your multi-threaded code in parallel. And uv fully supports it!

Python multiprocessing is overused garbage. You spend all your time serializing and deserializing pickled stuff. You have a "watchdog process" that attempts to detect if processes go away in the wrong order (memfd solves this correctly but is underused).

Concurrency is not about using CPU cores though. If you are talking about parallelism then Python has been able to use processes for a long time. I know that's not as 'efficient' as shared memory parallelism, but then again you're using Python so there was already a tradeoff made

RIP GIL

So Python 3.14 finally came out for real yesterday. Finally removing the GIL (global interpreter lock), which allows for way faster multithreaded code without dealing with all the brain damage and overhead of multiprocessing or other hacky workarounds. And uv already fully…

If your brand is remotely giftable, Q4 isn’t just about launching new creatives. BFCM creatives for giftable products are primarily about - scaling what’s already working - layering in some urgency and seasonal hooks - testing a few hypothesis-backed net new ideas. And early Q4…

Today, we're launching a new website and positioning for Recharm. This repositioning and today's launch were a significant effort and required deep, first-principles thinking for positioning. Here's what is new: (1) New Plans - A forever-free plan. 🎉 - A self-serve plan at a…

Creative teams often ask me how Recharm is different from Air. Recharm is purpose-built for creative teams making video ads, and is very different from Air. 1. Shots not files: In Air, videos are files. In Recharm, you are browsing modular shots (like hooks, product shot) and…

The best ad creative teams spin up a production flywheel. In this video, @JoWall202 (ex-TubeScience, ex-HexClad creative leader) talks about a very critical component of the creative production system that is The Foundational Shoot. She answers questions like: - Why do you…

I need this hat.

loftwah's tweet image. I need this hat.

PRs are a meh way to review code: - No simple way to split up a PR into smaller chunks for easier review - No "change-list version + comments" notion - No recommended way / order to begin reading Surprised Github doesn't innovate here

How much can you fit into a 30-second video? Challenge accepted.

If Harry's founders can go on camera and record a ton of video footage, what's your excuse? Founders have no problem going on a Zoom call and pitching their product. So, what's the hesitation in going on camera and pitching to a phantom audience? Founder content works. Record…

Dr. Squatch executes like crazy on obvious b-roll ideas. Creating b-roll is easy, yet many brands fail to capitalize on it. Do what Dr.Squatch does, and it doesn't even take that much time.

If you are using Google Drive to store your video footage, you are doing it WRONG. Harry's created a HUGE library of 3000+ reusable clips from 100+ creator videos. This enables creative teams to produce videos 3x faster. Finding footage is a big pain. Here’s what you…

9 out of 10 brands aren’t making the most of their content bank. And it’s not their fault—because you can’t use what isn’t organized or easy to digest. That’s why I love Recharm so much. It automatically splices, categorizes, and tags your content by hooks, CTAs, and specific…
