The @browsercompany just signed a merger agreement to be acquired. We will remain independent. Our focus is Dia. I’ve written and rewritten this post more times than I’d like to admit, but what I keep coming back to is simple: the work continues, and we’re grateful for this…

A big part of what @mcannonbrookes and I mind-melded on was the importance of security as a hallmark of @diabrowser

on top of being intense GEPA users, big surprise from @jedimody’s talk on the AI engineering behind @browsercompany’s Arc and Dia browsers is they’re intensely aware of @simonw’s Lethal Trifecta, and designing their Agentic browser to have security in mind!

New prototyping role just opened @browsercompany. TL;DR - we're getting pitched new APIs, models, etc. all the time, and want someone to be on the frontlines of de-risking what makes most sense for @diabrowser. Working closely with me! DM or email [email protected]

I think @adamstern_, @dustin, and I just cracked the core tab organization model & interactions for @diabrowser. Bet only 50% will work in end, but feels so close. Having a lot fun. Still need to make Chat (and AI broadly) feel more integrated /useful / distinct tho. Next!

I am very biased, but the Pre- vs Post- Mike Krieger era at Anthropic will be studied one day. What a legendary run he's having over there so far, while also being the kindest human imaginable.

Know anyone great for 2 new (contractor) roles @browsercompany? Both are special projects working closely with me: 1️⃣ A creative web developer for a 6-week project for @diabrowser (outside the core product). Must consider yourself as much a designer as a front-end engineer. Open…

DEMO: "Responsive Tab Titles" We’ve been exploring more at the intersection of Tabs X AI. This prototype from @hursh auto-rewrites a tab’s title to fit the available tab strip width. Makes tabs easier to scan & just looks cleaner. But eels too jumpy & quality needs improving.

Pinned tabs have an updated look in @diabrowser today. This change is about making your web apps feel more at home in Dia and also continuing to help make Arc members feel more at home in Dia. (Engineered with care by @adamstern_)
