The @browsercompany just signed a merger agreement to be acquired. We will remain independent. Our focus is Dia. I’ve written and rewritten this post more times than I’d like to admit, but what I keep coming back to is simple: the work continues, and we’re grateful for this…

I’ve been using @diabrowser’s new memory search feature as a brainstorming and “critique my work” tool. Since Dia has read all of the tabs I have this week, I get much more personalized answers than generic chat / no annoying attachments Technical backstory of memory in Dia:

Call the right context, at the right moment. Memory Search is now live in Dia 🔎

Starting today, the @browsercompany is back to shipping weekly updates. October's Dia releases include: • More powerful memory (of your tabs) • Redesigned Dia Skills • Arc's Focus Mode (CMD-S) All landing in @diabrowser this month. Oh, we removed the waitlist today too 🤗

$TEAM recently added @scottbelsky to its board, acquiring @browsercompany, acquiring DX, added @jasoncwarner to board. We’re going for it, and would love to work with you on @diabrowser !! Senior roles on product design, ML eng, AI models, PM, marketing, & more. DMs open!

Bonkers to see how software is being developed today, incl. at @browsercompany. Check out what Gem made (screenshot) as example. My personal mission with Dia is to give this feeling to everyone who works on their computer for a living. If this comes to the rest of the economy.

The only way to unseat ChatGPT in the consumer market is to beat OpenAI at social. No way a utilitarian, benchmarks-driven approach (Gemini) will dethrone ChatGPT on mobile. A competitive product would feel more like Snapchat than Google + lean into memory & personalization.

The person that @tim_cook should acquire to run AI at @Apple is @evanspiegel. Evan is the best consumer product thinker in the industry — especially with interfaces — and Snapchat has $700 mil ARR from Snapchat+ AI subscriptions (Services revenue). Evan runs AI & Vision Pro.

I want to take a moment to honor the handful of extraordinary individuals who enabled the @browsercompany to be its boldest, most creative self. The folks who risked the most with us — the opportunity cost of time and money. First and foremost, our team behind @diabrowser and…

So proud of all the work that went into Arc and Dia, and the team at this company that never gave up. We are now in an incredible position to bring Dia to the masses. To win, we need to make the best product. And that's all the motivation we need.
