Hey @CMZParker5, what the fuck?

Reminder that canonically, Kermit is a union member who recognizes and negotiates with his workers, unlike UMD.

We followed UMD's advice and made 2500+ friends!🥰 Our common hobby to boost job satisfaction is organizing for better working conditions Pledge to be at our Practice Picket TOMORROW with all of our friends at noon: forms.gle/1xNgELYXftBhu3… + tag 3 besties you're picketing with!

Interestingly, there’s not a single mention of Vision Zero in @DDOTDC Director Sharon Kershbaum’s testimony to the DC Council’s Committee on Transportation. Seems a bit odd when that’s been the explicit goal in the District for over a decade now. Has DDOT just given up on this?

me driving to get lettuce bc americans think walkable neighborhoods are "gay"
Why is this fashion account so fucking gay
the modern american mind can't imagine a life where stores are closer to each other and we don't depend on giant chains

We are in full swing of our push for our collective bargaining bill in the Maryland legislature. More on that here: x.com/UAM_UMD/status… But let's also do a greatest hits of our past op-eds on this issue over the last few years 🧵 Some new 🔥 ones coming soon too!
Ready everyone?!? Our bill—done w/ @AAUP, @AFTunion, @AFTHigherEd, @AFT_Maryland—for collective bargaining for ALL faculty & librarians in the USM system just dropped: Its here: mgaleg.maryland.gov/2025RS/bills/h… What is it & why is it important? 🧵

"The 'Bringing Oversight to Washington and Safety to Every Resident (BOWSER) Act' repeals the District of Columbia Home Rule Act one year after passage of the bill." lee.senate.gov/2025/2/lee-ogl…

Stop listening to your corporate lobbyists and donors. Kick them out. Support Medicare for All. Be anti-war. It’s really that simple.

According to Chapter 18 of the U.S. Code, attempting to access classified documents without proper security clearance is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The rule of law should apply to everyone.
The USAID systems that Elon Musk's DOGE team tried to access included personnel files and security systems — including on classified systems beyond the security level of at least some of the DOGE employees. The systems also included security clearance information for agency…
BREAKING: We are suing @USTreasury for its unlawful disclosure of personal & financial information to Elon Musk’s DOGE. This violation puts sensitive information about millions of Americans at risk.
The GOP bill prohibiting non-U.S. citizens from voting in all DC elections & repealing @BrianneKNadeau’s “Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022” (enacted in Feb. ‘23) was reintroduced yesterday (H.R. 884). *52 House Democrats* voted for this bill on May 23 2024…

The NSF Director should resign; sign here: bit.ly/nsfresign
.@NSF is proud to support educators and scientists whose transformative work inspires students, cultivates a passion for learning and advances the frontiers of discovery. These honorees embody the excellence and innovation that drive STEM education and research forward.
NYC is 12x DC’s population (8.2m to 700k) yet only had 7x more bikeshare rides than we did (44m to 6m). DC bikes more per person that NYC!!! That is incredible despite how much we still have to go with regard to safe and efficient biking!
A little-discussed aspect of the Bowser administration's legacy is the destruction of local transit service. Supporting Jack Evans's attempted destruction of Metro, gutting the ambitious Gray plans for a real streetcar network and, finally, killing the Circulator.
Today is the last day of DC Circulator service across all remaining routes. Service will end at 9 PM. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our riders for their support over the past 19 years and appreciate the community’s understanding during this transition.
.@DCDPW will be able to immediately tow & impound vehicles with counterfeit or obscured license plates following passage of my fake tags bill by the Council today. Parking enforcement is a critical tool to address traffic safety & hence public safety. brianneknadeau.com/bills-to-enfor…
