🧵 Every time I run up Nesaksla, a 700 elevation climb at 40° grade incline, I meet the man in the picture. He goes up and down every day, when is warm and when is cold with snow. He is 80+ years old.

That’s due to the lack of endurance activity. The human metabolism is optimized to endure, to be able to walk or run slow for long periods. Chimpanzees in the other side are mostly resting and doing short and fast activities.
