Are you dying for a burger? Why exhaust fumes at drive-throughs might put workers at risk.
How can we reach parity of esteem when we don't appropriately fund our services? Environments I have worked in have been completely unfit for purpose - all known about by those with the power to act but not acted on
DAUK's Dr Natalie Ashburner @nashburner said "Despite a huge increase in awareness around mental health, this is not being backed with the funding that is so desperately needed to reach the very basic in standard of care." @Doctors_net_uk #parityofesteem news.doctors.net.uk/news/31029

“Too often yoga and mindfulness are put forward to try and address this but these programmes will not fix the core issue. What NHS staff need are real improvements to their working conditions if the government has any hope of stemming the haemorrhage of staff out the NHS.”

We’re hearing from distressed #juniordoctors who are finding that Oriel has crashed once again as the ST3 application deadline approaches. Now an annual occurrence, how is this acceptable @NHS_HealthEdEng @DavidBehan15 @hee_ian? Urgent review & deadline extension required!
Thank you to @NHS_HealthEdEng for confirming that the application window for applications has been extended to Monday 24th February following a request from DAUK and the JDC. See their formal response to DAUK and our comment here: dauk.org/news/2020/2/19…

We agree. Could you therefore respond to this dossier of stories from 600 of our NHS doctors who are ‘burned out and broken’ which very sadly includes stories of scores taking their own lives. Doctors need your support. mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/h…
As MP @Dr_PhilippaW says, it's indisputable that Whistleblowers are serving patients and the public. They've been ignored in practically every major NHS scandal. Paterson could have been stopped 8 years earlier. Look at @WestSuffolkNHS @EKHUFT @sathNHS
Yet it shouldn’t be! Bristol, Mid Staffs, Morecombe Bay, Gosport - in every major NHS scandal there have been #Whistleblowers who were ignored or punished for raising concerns. Many lives could have been saved if they had been listened to!

Has anyone come through unscathed? I doubt it. Even those who won a legal battle usually end up financially worse off and with damaged health and wasted years. Speaking up in the public interest is vital but deadly.
