It’s good to be writing again. This is a topic I’ve been thinking about for almost 3 years: why “Prediction” is THE meta-idea of the AI century. It is what comes after postmodernism, and we’d better understand it.

This really gets to the core issue: the Canadian immigration system has lost its way. And it requires immediate reform. Instead, what we’re seeing is a web of confusing programs and the government dragging its feet. The most relevant skilled worker programs are mostly defunct
It's time we stop using immigration for virtue signaling and political posturing (a pan-partisan problem) and get back to a singular focus on leveraging economic immigration to raise the average human capital of the population. Take some time.👇 theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…
I designed and built Canada's Startup Visa. It has been destroyed by lobbyists and immigration consultants who basically own Canada's immigration system. It is time to shut the program down. Such a shame.

Another day, another headline about someone losing thousands to scammers posing as bank employees (this time CP24). While my sympathy is with the victims, the reflexive chorus of "Why didn't the bank refund the money?" is pushing us towards a dangerous precipice in personal…
As someone who works in the immigration space, the Canadian SUV program processing time is painful to look at every time. Which talented entrepreneur would want to come here if they have to wait for 4+ years to get their business started up here? The program is barely functional
