🇺🇦 Security Service managed to hit more than 40 Russia’s strategic bombers in a highly sophisticated drone attack. Once again, Ukrainians show not only to Putin how powerful & inventive they are, but also remind Europeans how much we can learn from them. Slava Ukraini!
At last the issue how to transfer money raised by Lithuanians to the families of 4 US soldiers who died while on duty in LT is solved. Money will go to TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program to Survivors) foundation and it will distribute to families (~70K USD each family)
Apparently President Zelenskyy does have some cards!
⚡️⚡️⚡️ SBU attacked 4 military airfields in Russia. Planes are currently burning at the Belaya, Diaghilevo, Olenya and Ivanovo airfields.
🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read. He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug…
In today’s Vatnik Soup, I’ll introduce Lithuanian far-right politician and Seimas member Remigijus Žemaitaitis. He’s best known for his extremist political views and for falling for a scam that convinced him he was flying to New York to meet Elon Musk. 1/17
Decent people thank Ukraine.
Ukraine is Europe! We stand by Ukraine. We will step up our support to Ukraine so that they can continue to fight back the agressor. Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge.

I don't want to hear any German politician say "never again" if Bundeskanzler Scholz represents how most Germans actually feel about Ukraine and Russia. Germany is losing the moral authority it earned over the last 75 years with its appeasement and failure to stand up to Russia.
As Olaf Scholz meets NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Berlin today, he opposes a membership perspective for Ukraine. Now a counter proposal has popped up in my discussions with officials in Berlin: Ukraine should take a "neutral" status like Finland had for decades ... 1/
We shall measure stellar brightness logarithmically, and it will be called the "magnitude." - Sir, will that logarithm be base 10, or based on Napier's constant? Neither. It shall be of the base of the fifth root of one hundred.

Soon TinyTapeout will support another open source 130nm process with fabs in Europe - IHP
Pure ASIC! Thunder captured inside the rock to make pixels. No CPU, no GPU, no RAM. Racing the beam and straight to 640x480 VGA at 60Hz! Me together with @_eriq_ and @2ndIteration made a demo for @tinytapeout demoscene ASIC competition 161 x 225 microns on 130nm!
This is amazing! Great entry for the @tinytapeout demoscene competition!
Ever since I came up with the CORDIC donut idea I've wanted to do a hardware version.... and thanks to Bruno's discovery here, I was able to make it happen fast enough to "race the beam" on a VGA monitor for @tinytapeout, without pipelineing, using 2x2 tiles (~6k standard cells).
Ah yes, I remember buying that textbook

Does astrology work? We tested the ability of 152 astrologers to see if they could demonstrate genuine astrological skill. Here is how the study was designed and what we found (including a result that really surprised me): 🧵
