UPDATE | I-26 is being shut down at SC 292. Fire is on both sides of the interstate now.
Fire on I-26 between exit 10-15 going towards Spartanburg, South Carolina. Drivers telling me there are lot of law enforcement and firefighters out. Palmetto State is under a Red Flag Fire Alert until further notice.

Either way, snow and ice accumulations will make many roads treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on tree limbs and power lines could produce scattered outages, especially trees that remain vulnerable from Hurricane Helene.
The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning commute in the mountains and evening commute area wide. The time for preparations is rapidly closing as the threat for snow and ice is ~24 hours away. #scwx #ncwx #gawx
